Responsibilities
Lead design build team and client relationship during full lifecycle of project
Maintain work within budgetary constraints by tendering scopes of work competitively and negotiating buyouts of sub-contracts
Budget management and tracking of multiple projects simultaneously
Identify project risks, mitigate company exposure effectively
Drive project schedules through planning and leading team members, maintaining clear communication regarding next steps
Ensure regular schedule tracking, comparing actual vs baseline
Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure quality, proper site maintenance and regulation
Delegate authority and responsibility for Site Superintendents to maintain schedule and organization of work
Oversee tendering, bid selection, buy-out approval and contract administration
Provide post-construction client support for warranty calls
Ensure accurate and timely billing submission to Finance Department
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and administration of submittals, change logs, inspection requirements and RFI logs
Monthly budget forecasting for all projects
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
PMP considered an asset
Gold Seal Certification an asset
Client-centric mentality and conduct
Able to effectively lead teams of Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents and Design Coordinators
Ability to investigate action from sub-trades and vendors
Excellent negotiator
Ability to mitigate and resolve disputes among all stakeholders
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Proven success in maintaining and growing client and vendor relationships
