We are seeking an experienced individual who has a strong Canadian and US background. We have a number of operations overseas, so international tax experience, particularly in Europe would be a fantastic asset. Identify and assist with tax planning and re-organizations opportunities; Ensure compliance is met with tax filing obligations; Manage the quarterly and annual income tax provision process for the tax aspects of global US GAAP reporting and local statutory reporting for all assigned jurisdictions;Manage indirect tax compliance for all assigned jurisdictions;Manage foreign income tax audits and indirect tax audits for all assigned jurisdictions;Work with various cross-functional teams to identity tax issues, risks and opportunities and provide tax support to the various business units;Research tax issues and work as a partner to support different parts of the business; Review the work of, and train and develop junior staff members of the tax group;Lead and control special tax projects and engagements, as required. Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program;Qualified CPA with 6+ years of Canadian tax experience in a mid-sized or large CPA accounting firm; Experience with Canadian, US and international tax, transfer pricing and corporate reorganizations preferred; Strong technical and research skills with the ability to adapt tax strategies to unique circumstances;Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on client service and an ability to provide practical advice;Ability to develop a positive rapport with staff and emerging leadership skills;Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
