Involved with designing databases and working with the users to develop specifications. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring and standard procedures, and integration of systems through client/server database design.Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.Performance Expectations·Mentor and provide guidance to Intermediate and Junior Application Developers.·Participate in the process of setting and maintaining technology strategies.·Provide 3rd tier support to existing applications.·Transfer existing applications to new technologies.·Work with Application Architect and System Analyst – Development to help design applications and databases.·Develop applications to meet the business needs of the facilities, or the corporation on a whole.·Peer code reviews.·May include project management.·Research new concepts as needed to develop innovative solutions to business problems.·Develop expertise in the IFS standard functionalities and customization possibilities to recommend adequate solutions to business challenges.·Develop, customize and maintain IFS reports version 10/9/8 using IFS report designer and IFS developer tool.·Develop custom field, events in IFS enterprise and aurena.·Develop new lobbies and be able to customize existing ones.·Develop custom view in oracle and assist in data migration activities.·Meet with clients and information technology experts to clarify expectations and designs.·Ability to troubleshoot systems.·Consult and synthesize information from a variety of technical documents to develop software applications.·Attend meetings with clients and their representatives to collect information to clarify project specifications.·Monitor costs to ensure that projects stay within budgets.·Other duties assigned as needed.Credentials·Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or related discipline.·Minimum six years experience as an Application Developer.·Experience deciphering Requirements Documents, Design Specifications.·Knowledge in the following programs:·Knowledge of General Programming Concepts and Languages.·Service OrientedArchitecture and n-tier development.·Working knowledge of IFS designer and developer studio to develop reports·Software development lifecycle methodologies and knowledge of ITIL processes·ITIL processes.·SQL language.·Relational Database Design.·Cube Design.·Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 development environment using the C# language.·Team Foundation Server.·Microsoft SQL Server 2008.·SQL Server Database, Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services.·Microsoft Windows SharePoint Service (WSS) 3.0.·Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010..·Windows Communication Framework (WCF).·Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).·Windows Workflow Foundation (WF).Desired Characteristics·Ability to work independently when designing, writing, testing or troubleshooting software applications.·Possess strong documentation skills.·Participate in formal training activities through various educational initiatives.What Linamar Has To Offer·Opportunities for career advancement.·Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.·Social committees and sports teams.·Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.About UsSkyjack supplies construction rental companies globally with quality engineered, simple, and reliable access and telehandler equipment.
