DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify new business opportunities and constantly strive to maintain strong relationships with existing business accounts.
  • manages a portfolio of clients in business-to-business (B2B) within a specific geographical area.
  • Follow up with new and existing clients to provide freight solutions and to bring new business to the company.
  • Searches and develops potential clients to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Makes contact by telephone/cold calling or email to obtain the initial information about the potential client and then sets up in person appointments.
  • Focuses on retaining and penetrating active clients in portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Operations Managers and Logistics Coordinators to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
  • The Business Development Executive will work with Director of Sales and operations manager to develop territory and account strategies to support sales growth in the company.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record with a strong focus on new business development including cold calling, setting appointments, presenting, and meeting with potential customers, pricing, proposals through to 'closing the deals'.
  • 5+ years of sales and account management experience.
  • Experience working B2B sales involving complex deals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
  • Ability to interface with all required levels from entry level to senior executive.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills & strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
  • High energy and genuine passion for “selling”.
