    The role of a Customer Advisory Intern is for a fast learner with passion for technology. This person will be supporting VP of Sales for Public Sector. Activities include customer marketing, account planning and assisting data collection to build business cases that detail how digital innovations will transform customers’ businesses.

    The role is designed for an ambitious business professional that is self-driven, hungry to learn, always looking to improve, adaptable to changing requirements and priorities, passionate for technology, and can operate as a business analyst while working on projects with internal and external stakeholders.

    What you’ll do:

    Position Title: SAP iXp Intern – Sales
    Location: Ottawa
    Expected start date to end date: May 2021 – May 2022

    In this role, you’ll:

    Area 1: As a member of the Canadian Public Sector team, participate in ongoing partnerships with field sales and technology consulting teams to identify and prioritize potential revenue opportunities, and help execute prioritized sales plays through account planning and consultative customer engagements as outlined in Areas 2 and 3 below.

    Area 2: Participate in account planning sessions internally and with customers based on industry plan recommendations. Research relevant industries, analyze existing customer business performance, contribute to visioning workshops, and support the positioning of collaborative consulting engagements with customers.

    Area 3: Closely work with the Value Advisory and SAP’s government relations 3rd party organizations to deliver collaborative consulting / value discovery engagements with customers. Develop relevant content, structure financial analyses, manage simultaneous work streams, and collaborate with SAP’s cross-functional teams. Engagements scope includes digital business transformation, business model innovation and/or business process optimization. Typical activities in supporting such engagements include:

  • Tracking business outcomes from design thinking sessions to envision with customers’ potential new business models and/or new ways of conducting work more effectively driven by digital innovations;
  • Benchmarking customers’ business process KPIs, identify gaps, work with cross-functional teams to identify how digital innovations can bridge such gaps; and/or
  • Collaborating with industry experts to build execution roadmaps and business cases to articulate the anticipated economic value, risk and strategic implications from proposed change.
  • Area 4: Research and synthesize industry insights to support the creation of original points of view on digital transformation to build demand for SAP technology for our public sector clients.

  • 0-1 year of relevant experience (consulting, digital, finance, technology, value management, etc.)
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional know how in analytical and problem solving skills, creating and validating detailed business cases in Excel, building storylines and high quality presentations in PowerPoint
  • Keen eye for detail in content creation and industry research
  • Excellent and energetic presentation and facilitation skills
  • Passion for technology. SAP technology knowledge is a bonus
  • Proven track-record of meeting and exceeding goals
