**VCA Canada Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre** has an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated **Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) Team Lead** to join our established network of highly skilled professionals. You will have an opportunity to use your technical and leadership skills to the fullest potential! At VCA Canada our RVT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospitals.

**About Us**

Located in the beautiful central Okanagan, VCA Canada Tri Lake is a full-service animal hospital, just a short drive from both Kelowna and Vernon. We provide health and emergency care for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, reptiles and other exotics. Our hospital is equipped with an in house laboratory, CT scanner, ultrasound, digital radiology suite and 24-hour RVT staffing. Our team is made up of experienced professionals, all dedicated to continuous learning and providing an excellent experience for both our clients and their pets. We have further committed to expanding our emergency services this year to 24/7 and 365 days a year! Once we have the required ER Veterinarians in place, we will open our overnight doors, expanding our current emergency offering.

This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that will be ideal for your strong technical, administrative and organizational skills that ultimately support the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Additionally, you will ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated! Additional qualifications and attributes for this role include;

+ Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register

+ Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices

+ Collaborative and thoughtful communication style

+ Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records

+ Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

+ Ability to mange multiple priorities and people simultaneously

+ Technical skills; venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, physical examinations and patient assessment, dentistry, nutrition and pharmacy

+ Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery

Responsibilities:

+ Implement process and oversee coordination of patient records and patient communication

+ Attend regular meetings with your General Manager to review schedules, team info, patient files, processes, areas for improvement

+ Oversee a team of RVT’s and TA’s including scheduling and training
