Monday to Sunday, various rotating 12 hour shifts (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

The Nursing Resource Team (NRT) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty is a team of nurses who work in the Intensive Care Unit and who are uniquely skilled to provide care to acutely ill, CCSO Level 3 Critical Care patients.
This is what you’ll be doing:
Provide primary care and close monitoring of the critically ill, medical, surgical, and respiratory patients’ care needs in both Milton and Oakville Intensive Care Units. You must confidently be able to demonstrate critical thinking and competency in being able to monitor, assess, and communicate recommendations needed for this unique patient population.

ICU Experience Required
Critical Care Certificate Required
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current BCLS Certification at time of hire.
Current ACLS Certification at time of hire and ongoing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Caring attitude with patients, families and co-workers
Must be physically able to do the job that involves heavy lifting and intensive physical effort.
Strong physical assessment skills is required (preference will be given to applicants that have taken the physical assessment course)
Excellent critical thinking skills, with an ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrates commitment to continuing education.
Satisfactory employment and attendance record .
The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
$33.90 to $48.53 per hour
