Registered Nurse
With approximately 2,900 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our onsite health services team at our Brooks, facility. The nurses are leaders of our health services team to ensure the health and well-being of our team members.
NOTE: This position will be located in Brooks, AB
You will:
Provide First Aid/emergency response and post-employment assessments
Provide employee counseling and referral, as well as industrial health education
Collaborate with onsite Physio, Physician advisor as well as the Safety and Abilities department to provide quality health services to employees
Administer immunizations in accordance with community health request
Complete pre-employment and post-incident medicals, including drug and alcohol testing
Perform audiometric testing as required
Work on a 5 or 6 day rotational schedule (days/afternoons)
You Have:
Current and valid practice permit issued by CARNA, ACP OR CLPNA
Strong administrative/computer skills required with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
ITLS certificate, or willing to acquire within first 3 month of employment
Audiometric technician and Drug and Alcohol testing technician, ACLS, Occupational nursing courses will be an asset.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
The employee may be exposed to wet, dry, hot, cold or humid, high noise environments
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.
