Our Pearson Test of English team is currently recruiting for a **Regional Development Manager, Western Canada** .

**Job Summary:**

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is a high stakes English language test which is growing rapidly worldwide. The Regional Development Manager reports to the Director of Pearson Test of English (PTE). This position requires an enthusiastic self-starter to liaise with external stakeholders and key industry players to grow the PTE Academic recognition and educate this audience on the features and benefits of the product. Under the direction of the Director, PTE, the Regional Development Manager will deliver a stakeholder recognition and engagement action plan, aimed to ultimately position PTE Academic as the Secure English Language Test (SELT) of choice of entry to the institution and develop long-lasting business relationships as well as build brand awareness and demand for the test within their territory.

The Regional Development Manager is responsible for generating recognition through networking, cold calling, client meeting and customer references and is encouraged to develop their own business relationships by building a solid network. Additionally, the Regional Development Manager will work closely with the marketing team to agree on communications plan and help generate new regional content to raise the PTE Academic profile.

**As Regional Development Manager, you are responsible for:**

**Market Development**

+ Understand, develop & execute a stakeholder recruitment/engagement plan across higher education institutions and professional associations to expand PTE Academic recognition and ensure its strong presence.

+ Directly accountable for gaining recognition of PTE Academic with targeted institutions who require an SELT at entry point to their different programs.

+ Liaise with Account, Pursuits, Client Experience teams to share new assets and understand obstacles to sale, client wins/losses, and more.

+ Educate university, college, associations relationships etc. of the benefits and reach of PTE Academic.

+ Grow our customer base through outbound activities – sponsored events.

+ Collaborate with key stakeholders in our business ecosystem to work on several projects and initiatives that will improve our sales efficiency.

+ Continuously identify new opportunities and bring fresh ideas for improvement.

+ Meet and exceed all assigned recognition targets and objectives.

**Post Sales**

+ Once an organization recognizes PTE Academic, ensure PTE Academic is listed on their website and other communications channels.

+ Host/deliver webinars and educate recognizing organizations on score setting, score concordance, security, reliability, validity and other related topics.

+ Provide support to Higher Education and associations through the organization of workshops and seminars on PTE Academic.

+ Maintain a strong liaison with those institutions who use PTE Academic to benchmark the English language of their applicants, to better understand their needs with SELT and support them to reach more international students.

+ Build and manage relationships with targeted Admissions Offices, International Offices, university leaders and decision makers at identified potential recognizing institution such as college, professional association to win recognition.

+ Build strong working relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor.

+ Continuously identify new opportunities and bring fresh ideas for improvement.

**Marketing & Reporting**

+ Report on monthly and quarterly recognition and activation activities. Keep updated trackers of work progress regarding recognition, activation, scores, partnerships and other related services, ensuring these are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

+ Report and track on other market players and activity; recognition, test centre locations etc.

+ Keep informed about developments within higher education and within the language testing industry.

+ Liaise with Marketing team and assist in creating content for recognizing organizations and industry.

+ Report and segment institutions, categorizing and prioritizing accounts.

+ Monitor, review, update, and analyze the different stakeholder tracker(s) and ensure all related external comms (website – list of recognizing organizations) are up to date.

+ In liaison with Director for PTE, develop/execute stakeholder comms action plan to keep industry players aware of latest PTE academic news.

+ Develop calendar for data collection, feedback from clients to improve our liaison and better understand/manage expectations.

+ Keep a calendar of events and conferences to attend/sponsor and showcase PTE Academic at these events.

**Qualifications**

**As a Regional Development Manager, you are/have:**

+ 3 years of experience in sales and business development; new business generation and appointment setting experience is vital.

+ Experience in delivering presentations and webinars with ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences.

+ Experience creating marketing content.

+ Experience with progress report creation and regular sales forecasts.

+ Proven problem-solving skills.

+ Able to work independently with strong organizational skills.

+ Thrive in an agile, changing environment.

+ Strong oral, written and presentation skills.

+ Enthusiastic, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work and a confident approach to closing business.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Able to travel overnight and frequently.

+ Computer literate & able to use a CRM system.

**Considered an Asset:**

+ Marketing degree or equivalent experience.

+ Experience in working in Education, international mobility industry and/or SELT industry for immigration/education purposes in Canada.

+ Knowledge of English language assessments or with educational testing.

+ Experience working within a designated learning institute or university/college admissions/recruitment office environment.
