Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together You are an enthusiastic team player with a passion for strategic and tactical space planning. This role will lead the development and maintenance of the annual Occupancy Plan for TELUS’ administrative portfolio for the Alberta region. You will be the first point of contact for workplace requests, and have the opportunity to define the scope of work, provide needs analysis and validation as well as develop occupancy and logistical options that meet our business and the employee’s needs. This can include; stacking, blocking and CAD layouts as appropriate. Here’s how Identification and validation of annual space supply and demand requirements and provisions workplace requirements to support the portfolio planning Development, analysis and reporting of key space and occupancy metrics and create workspace strategies and occupancy strategies that support the TELUS business objectives Creation of strategic programs and related business case analysis in support of the TELUS real-estate goals Engagement with local business units in support of space and occupancy requirement identification. Provide analysis – block planning, order of magnitude financial estimating, and the application of corporate workspace standards Precise maintenance of space and occupancy data at a local level ensuring accuracy of workspace database information Review and approval of space reconfiguration projects and moves adds and change; ensuring alignment to corporate standards, overall plans and identification of potential business unit impacts Communication and transition of planning information in support of project managers, key stakeholders and business units with respect to workspace projects You’re the missing piece of the puzzle Required Education/Experience With a minimum 5 years of related space planning experience With a post-Secondary diploma/certification Strong experience in space planning and occupancy management for large organizations preferred Desired Skills Recognized for your proficiency in drawings software like AutoCAD and Revit, BIM experience preferred. Software proficiencies in MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required Known for your understanding of the Facilities, Real Estate and Asset Management industry and practices in the areas of space planning, occupancy and allocation management Demonstrate a working knowledge of the implementation of smaller real estate or MAC (moves, adds and changes) projects in workplace environments including stakeholder communications, requirement gathering, scope development, cost and schedule forecast development and coordination with multiple vendors to effect approved projects Ability to work on multiple tasks/projects at one time Ability to adapt and deal with change Regarded as an exceptional communicator, influencer and negotiator, able to build and maintain effective partnerships internally and externally with all stakeholders Great-to-haves An understanding of the different space measurement techniques such as BOMA, IFMA etc. and where each is applicable Prior working knowledge with CADD/ CAFM system management at a portfolio level for large organizations, including working knowledge of CAFM systems like Centrestone, Archibus or Tririga Who is TELUS?
