Job Description
We are seeking a Railing Installer (wood) to become a part of our team! You will assist with the installation in a new construction setting. This is a contractor position based on piece-work, so there is an opportunity to earn.
Responsibilities:
- Picking up materials and deliver to jobsite
- Reading drawings and following closely
- Owning/maintaining own tools
- Install railings, newels, spindles and all trim on stairs
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Track all equipment and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, and how it pertains to railings
- Finish Carpenter skills
- Working with various hardwoods
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work well in teams
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
