Our client is a leader in the food manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, we are looking to add another team member in the Quality Assurance area. This is a full time, long term opportunity located in Port Coquitlam. There are about 400 people working at his location and the business is growing.


•Frequent line monitoring due to increased volume of both Raw and RTE areas

•Frequent monitoring in-process products and equipment, verifies on-site monitoring records

•Frequent troubleshoot line issues in cooperation with supervisors/leadhands

•Additional collection retention sample and evaluates shelf-life sample in due time

•Preparation of peptone solution, contact plates and air micro plates

•Additional in-house shelf-life studies of US products

•Additional records and spreadsheets of existing shelf-life studies

•Additional samples with process deviations to outside independent accredited lab

•Additional swabs and samples for Listeria and Salmonella tests as per CFIA regulations

•Additional collection of samples (US hams, bacon) for chemical analysis

•Assists in investigation related to customer claim and complaints


•1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance Technician within food manufacturing

•Post Secondary education in Biology/Microbiology or food processing an asset

•Good oral and written communication skills
