Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together As a QA team lead, you will play an important role in scaling up a strategic, growing product development team, with a major focus on optimizing our team’s use of automation testing. Here”s how Participate in all team scrum activities (stand-up, planning, retrospective) to monitor progress, blockers, identify cross-team dependencies Review and unify QA processes across 4 product teams in close collaboration with Dev team lead Support feature estimation process to allow R&D teams more input into feature estimation Monitor, Track and Analyze testing outcomes and produce sharable dashboards Revise, where necessary, QA strategy to increase ROI from automation test development, and identify and execute on opportunities to “Shift Left” (towards development time) our testing activities Periodically review QA team tools, automation code management strategies Assist with creation and improvement of new team member onboarding process and supporting material Assist with new hire candidate screening and interview process for new QA team members Develop skills in leadership role by supporting team members though: Regular meetings with team members One-on-one coaching Developing and reviewing personal goals You”re the missing piece of the puzzle Technology Knowledge Python development Source code management using git Automated test development using Robot framework and other UI testing frameworks Strong SQL skills for reporting and data validation CI/CD tools such as Jenkins for managing and executing large automated test suites Mobile application development experience (Android native, iOS Native, Hybrid) or testing experience an asset Skills/Experience Graduation from a post-secondary institution with a Degree specializing in Software engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any related development field 7+ years of experience working on software development projects in a development or QA capacity Experience writing, executing and reviewing mission-critical software test cases Experience writing, debugging and maintaining a large suite of automated tests Experience in software project management with Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance principles and practices including test planning, test strategy, test matrix design Strong personnel leadership abilities, passionate and able to instill passion and sense of purpose in others Demonstrated ability to observe, analyze and improve business processes Excellent understanding of Software Engineering best practices Solid understanding of Agile product development methodology Strong and clear communicator Able to excel in a distributed team environment Nice to have French an asset Team leadership experience an asset Work in Healthcare IT domain an asset Who is TELUS?
