Are you experienced in industrial and liquid waste management? Do have good working knowledge of TDGA, O. Reg. 347? Do you have at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role? Reporting to the Operations Manager the Containerized QC Supervisor will be responsible for managing all containerized waste being received, stored, processed, consolidated and shipped out of the facility. Planning, coordinating and directing containerized waste on a daily basis. This includes: Receiving, load verification, storage placement, processing / consolidation and outbound shipment to alternative disposal sites. Maintaining an inventory level that assure space Ensuring containerized activities are cost effective and efficient within the confines of the Environmental Compliance Approvals and Corporate policies & procedures; Ensuring assigned staff maintain established controls, procedures and accountability to manage safety, environment & financial performance and regulatory compliance; Scheduling work for the containerized QC team to maximize productivity while maintaining compliance Ensuring compliance of all containerized wastes with the TDGA and O. Reg. 347. This includes all container labeling and shipping documents (manifests, BOLs); Coordinating with all other divisions/groups within the facility to make certain that all container handling, processing and/or transfer/disposal are efficiently managed and communicated; Identifying and recommending improvements to container handling and processing; Mentoring containerized QC staff to expand their technical knowledge and capabilities; Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating data and trends to management staff; Conduct routine audits on containerized operations to ensure compliance with SOPs and ECAs; Ensuring compliance with all equipment inspection and maintenance programs for equipment/machinery in their department; Supporting and ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to by management and staff; Assisting in the training & orientation of new employees; Assisting in the reporting and investigation of all near misses/incidents/accidents resulting in personal injury and or property damage; Assisting in implementation of any corrective action the result of incidents; Obtaining and issuing Purchase Orders to vendors; Assessing new vendors.
