In this role, you will become an integral part of our 3rd Party Property Accounting team responsible for completing a variety of accounting and reporting tasks for different clientele.The duties and responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:Ensure all financial reporting are delivered accurately and by the due date to your SupervisorFull cycle accounting responsibilitiesfor financial statement preparationwhile ensuring internal controls are followedComplete and maintain straight line rents if Clientrequires for reportingPrepare journal entries for accruals, payroll, mortgages, leasing fees etc, review general ledgers against budget for accuracyIdentify and review old or significantly high accounts receivable balances for allowance setup or bad debt write offsAnalyze balance sheet accounts and maintain detailed working papersPrepare and reconcile all CAM/TAX tenant reconciliationsMaintain capital project files and amortization schedulesCash flow management and cash distributions to ClientsReview and approve bank reconciliationsReview and approve payable invoices and codingPrepare all government remittances and ensure all filings are done by the due datePrepare HST reconciliationsand returnsPrepare management fee reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of the annual budgetPrepare year end audit files and assist with audit queriesReview percentage rent accruals for accuracyAssist with special projectsUniversity degree or college diploma in an accounting related field of studyMinimum of 3+ years of commercial real estate experienceCan work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and cope with changing prioritiesGood communication skills verbal and written with the ability to collaborate and build relationshipsSolid understanding of accounting principals and practicesHighly proficient in Microsoft office with a emphasis on ExcelGood overall computer skillsDetailed oriented and strong organizational skillsSelf motivated with a positive attitudeYardi Voyager experience is an assetAvison Young practices as an equal opportunity employer in all services locations around the world.
