As a project manager/business analyst, you will provide our clients with the exceptional service they have come to expect from us. You will anticipate client challenges, before they become an issue, provide clients with best practices in event technology implementation and ensure projects are moving in the right direction in a timely and on budget manner. You will be reporting directly to your team supervisor.
To be successful in this role:
After a short training and mentorship period, the successful candidate will be fully versed and able to demonstrate knowledge of Streampoints’ event technology offerings. You will understand our clients, manage their project requirements, interact with our internal resources from creative, developers, operations and support teams.
Your responsibilities as a project manager will be:
managing a portfolio of projects and ensure their successful completion on time and within budget
act as a liaison between the clients’ and the Streampoint team
gather requirements from clients for the development of registration and event websites
develop work back schedules and project documentation for the development of these projects
building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers and suppliers
Identify risks and contingencies for various activities related to the development, launch, maintenance and onsite of client events
ensure services rendered are within the client contract and scope of services
plan and manage onsite solutions for client event registration
manage the logistics for on-site registration solutions such as equipment/supplies shipping, and coordinating registration team travel and lodging
manage the execution of on-site registration procedures by setting up registration hardware, networking all the equipment, installing relevant printing software, training registration staff, and helping with customer support throughout event proceedings
providing clients’ with a weekly status report on their process and budget allocation
administering project management documents and reports as well as producing client correspondence such as but not limited to project timelines, compliance documents, monthly expenses
participate in the sales process by presenting service and product information to potential clients
contribute to contract renewal by promoting new services and products that would be desired by the client
following proper accounting, contracting and accounts receivable procedures
assisting in maintaining and driving company culture
performing other duties as required
The successful candidate will have:
Proven success in executing client projects and driving a team. You have experience managing projects in the software space. Clients and teammates know they can count on you to put your best foot forward even in difficult situations, support them when required, and proactively contribute ideas, solve problems and move the project in a timely manner.
A thirst for knowledge. A passion for learning and understanding of new and evolving products, technologies—as well as a desire to know just what keeps our clients up at night. You’ll arm yourself with product knowledge, leveraging your team to fill in any gaps, while being more-than-capable of researching and troubleshooting issues on your own.
A passion for helping clients. You care deeply about the client’s experience with Streampoint Solutions, our products, and our people. You’re a multitasking wizard to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and are able to manage more than one client at a time.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team. You have the experience and capabilities to work effectively on your own to get tasks done, while still being able to build strong internal relationships and lead client without supervision.
Excellent management & human interpersonal skills. You have strong human relation skills, managing people, risk management, while being strategic in your execution and have proven experience in change management.
The ability to tell great stories. You have the ability to take technical documentation, client requirements and form a great story that enables the client and attendees to have a flawless experience.
Excellent communication abilities. You’re able to present, communicate verbally and written, negotiate, be a creative problem solver.
Technical abilities. If you understand simple computer system setup and networking, this is considered an asset. If you do not, your willingness to learn is important.
Event experience is considered.
To travel. You will be required to travel across North America. Weekend travel maybe requires in some cases. A valid Passport is mandatory and all travel documents are required to be in good standing.
