Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall design and management of the various engineering and technical projects assigned to them.

 

The successful candidates responsibilities will include the following:

  • Plan, organize, & direct projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules
  • Design of parts, assemblies, and systems specific components for the job at hand
  • Prepare project specific specifications
  • Manage change orders and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff for project work
  • Oversee all technical decisions related to projects
  • Interface with client for design input, output, review and design changes
  • Issue, review and approve project drawings before their release
  • Lead the project team and participate as a key member of the MH team
  • Follow all rules and guidelines identified in the Company handbook
  • Follow, respect and apply all health & safety procedures and guidelines and to keep up to date with safety procedures.
  • May be required to occasionally work outside or on site dependant on the project at hand
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the Engineering Manager
  • The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Professional engineering status or technologist certification
  • 5 plus years of 2D and 3D CAD experience ( Inventor or Solidworks )
  • Must be competent in MS Office
  • Certification in project management is an asset
  • 5 plus years experience in a fabrication, machining, or hydraulic shop
