Key Area of Focus:
·To establish a “stand-alone” process, through rigorous project management, dedicated to quick turn-around, low quantity, cast & finished machined components for Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Aerospace markets, or other high-growth customers, aimed at aligning the company with major OEMs during the design stage.
·To provide Leadership to all employees involved in the rapid product development process (estimating, sales and manufacturing), through effective communications, adherence to internal and external regulations, policies and procedures (i.e., Health & Safety, Environment, ISO 9000 & QS 9000, etc.), coaching and motivational techniques.
·To provide excellent Customer Service to our customers by delivering quality products on time, quoting and planning new product orders, and keeping the Sales organization abreast of any development difficulties.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
·lead the planning and implementation of our rapid product development project
·facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
·define project tasks and resource requirements
·develop full scale project plans
·assemble and coordinate project staff
·manage project budget
·manage project resource allocation
·plan and schedule project timelines
·track project deliverables using appropriate tools
·provide direction and support to project team
·constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
·present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
·implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
·project evaluations and assessment of results
·Degree in Engineering Mechanical/Manfucturing-3-5 years’ experience
·Direct work experience in a project management capacity
·Qualification in project management or equivalent an asset
·Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management, including techniques and tools
·Manufacturing work experience/knowledge of various manufacturing processes including casting
·Computer software applications (Microsoft Office)
·Effective written and oral communication/ customer service skills.
·Ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests
·Strong organizational skill
