Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products. Currently, we are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join the team as soon as possible. 
– Permanent position

The company is building a new facility in Markham, potentially consolidating of all facilities to efficiently share manufacturing resources, data and achieve optimal capacity utilization. 
The Project Manager reports to the Executive Director of PMO for Canada. and will focus on reaching operational excellence, developing and implementing strategies enhancing production capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability.  
REQUIREMENTS
5-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience in CPG, or Pharmaceutical industry
Engineering background experience in Automation, Robotics, Software, MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
Hands on experience in implementing and integrating MES with Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, etc. knowledge
Leadership capacity (5-6 indirect report)
PMP is preferred (70% technology and 30% project management) 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for delivering assigned projects on-time, on budget, and with the required scope.
Developing cross-functional plans together with the project team including realistic but aggressive timelines, budget and resources planning, risk assessment and contingency planning.
Maintaining control over the project by measuring performance and taking corrective or preventive action where appropriate.
Acting as spokesperson for the project, which includes presenting status to the leadership team, understanding the communication needs and styles of stakeholders, and responding accordingly.
Preparing and presenting at project reviews in accordance with project practices.
Developing a risk management plan and executing risk management processes, developing risk responses to eliminate or reduce the probability and impact of project risks. Ensures that contingency and fallback plans are in place if risk events are realized.
Ensuring that the project meets expectations for manufacturing transfer in terms of design release, procedure readiness, bills of material readiness, etc. Works with the receiving manufacturing sites to ensure that specific requirements are met.
