More information can be found at Project Coordinator is an integral part of our site Project Management team in organizing our ongoing projects. This involves monitoring project plans, schedules, document control, and organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. Liaising with owners and stakeholders to find solutions.The Project Coordinator is the key lead to ensure compliance to all project documentation needs and to ensure project process controls are in place to allow for design compliance, revenue capture, cost control and safety compliance. The Project Coordinator is integral in maintaining the capability of the Saskatoon Construction Group to increase construction revenue and capability. This includes actively participating in building a culture of agility, collaboration, and empowerment (ACE) enabling continuous improvement.Health and Safety: Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment areasSee Something, Do Something! Ensures safe working conditions in site of employees and sub tradesProject Coordination: The scope of coordination tasks for individual jobs will include, where appropriate, the following:Document control. Fulfilling, maintaining, facilitating, and following up on all RFI and transmittal processes.Creating, maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules.Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.Providing administrative support as needed.Undertaking project tasks as required.Developing project strategies.Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.Assist in correspondence with owner or general contractorAssist in expediting invoicing and receiving progresses from ownerIdentify any sub-contractors that are restricted (Red/Amber) in Avetta and work with Operations/Contract Admin to rectify the restrictionDimensions:Interacting with Operations manager, superintendents, foremen, owner, engineers, subcontractors, and other sub tradesEducation: Degree in Engineering, Diploma from Technical Institute in Engineering, orBachelor of Applied Science (B.A.SC) in Civil Engineering 3 years project coordination experienceExperience and Skill Set:Good project coordination experienceGreat problem solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and great organization skillsGood knowledge of construction industryCapable of multi-tasking and managing prioritiesHigh capacity of working under pressure and stress Ability to effectively present information in writing, and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers and the general publicAbility to calculate figures, amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area circumference and volumeAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formComputer proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applicationsCompetencies: Listening ComposureApproachabilityOrganizingPatiencePerseverancePre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.Through LafargeHolcim’s 2030 Plan, Lafarge is committed to providing solutions using sustainable manufacturing practices and improving the environment in and around its operations.
