Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig Program Manager – Clinical Services WNHAC provides client-centered, wholistic primary health care through an interprofessional, team-based model of care. As a member of the senior management team, this position plays a key role in overall leadership and achievement of the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic directions.Program managers are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a designated suite of programs and services that form an integrated, wholistic continuum of comprehensive primary health care. Collaboration and integration with partner communities and a strong emphasis on quality assurance and outcome improvement are key functions of the role. Other key responsibilities include providing operational leadership and support to Interprofessional Team Coordinators as needed, collaborating with Human Resources on recruitment and retention of qualified and culturally competent health service providers, and supporting health planning processes – particularly advancement of Indigenous health issues. QUALIFICATIONS:▪ Masters in Healthcare Administration, or healthcare professional with relevant combination of education and extensive related work experience▪ strong understanding of Anishinaabe culture, values, and perspectives; experience working in an Anishinaabe organization; ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin a definite asset▪ sound understanding and experience with traditional and contemporary health care practices, and wholistic health and well being▪ demonstrated capacity for wholistic and strategic thinking, and competence in conflict resolution strategies and consensus-building approaches to problem solving and decision making▪ knowledge of and commitment to community-based health and resources▪ willingness and ability to travel▪ valid drivers’ license and own vehicle required; copy of current drivers’ abstract required▪ current criminal records check required▪ commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job requirements▪ positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model▪ proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory Salary is competitive and reflects both the responsibilities of the position and conditions of employment.
