The Pro Shop 2 (Senior Attendant) will be working at the Miskanaw Golf Club as a support to the overall day to day operations of the facility. Under the supervision of the PGA of Canada Head Professional, the Pro Shop 2 (Senior Attendant) will manage tee times, answering phones and provide customer service to all patrons as well as maintain an organized and cleanly shop. Furthermore, the individual will be responsible for helping run corporate shotgun golf tournaments and checking cash outs each morning. Position Type: 3 Seasonal Positions AvailablePay Rate: $22.37/hourAnticipated Start Date: April 3, 2020Anticipated End Date: October 11, 2020Posted: March 6, 2020Closing Date: Open until filledDuties and Responsibilities:Managing the tee time sheet/schedule: Answering the phone, entering names into the tee time database, checking in customers and POS duties.Picking up garbage and vacuuming the pro shop area sanitizing the shelves and counters.Handling Inventory and acting as a Sales Representative: Doing basic inventory counts each month, assisting customers with inquiries about golf equipment and clothing and custom club fitting and ordering (in conjunction with golf professionals).Picking up golf balls with the picker and retrieving empty baskets after golfers are finished, cleaning the golf balls after picking, driving out to the golf holes to place the pins according to tournament charts and other Back shop duties as required and supervise back shop staff as required.Organizing and cleaning of golf carts in preparation for tournaments: Wiping down seats when they are dirty or wet, parking the carts in an organized fashion according to their numbers, generally cleaning of cart area, and area in front of pro shop duties.Re-gripping public and member golf clubs.Assist with tournament organization including coordinating club and private events.Monitor the pace of play by taking hourly trips around the course.Opening/closing procedures as outlined in Pro Shop standards of service booklet.Ensures all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.Organizing registration tables and setup for morning tournaments. Ensuring each cart is clean and setup correctly the night previous to any shotgun tournament.Ensuring all corporate signage is on the course for each shotgun tournament.Other duties as assigned.Education:Completion of Grade 10 (must include grade 10 math).Must be 15 years of age or older.Essential Skills and Experience:Minimum of 6 months to one (1) year of customer service experience.Excellent customer service skills.Desirable Skills and Experience:Basic understanding of golf.Ability to drive small vehicles (golf cart and range picker unit).Superior knowledge of golf and tournament operations.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Ability to lift golf bags weighing between 50-60 pounds and approximately 5 feet up for storage.
