You will provide strategic leadership, innovative services and hands-on expertise to Fraser Health executive within a busy consulting portfolio. Designed to support and conform to ITIL principles of Service Design, Transition and Operations, this position is responsible for ensuring a stable transition of new and amended IM/IT services into the operational environment at Fraser Health.

In this role, you will apply your expertise in project management, stakeholder management, governance management, communications, portfolio development, resource management, decision support, ITIL best practices and corporate business savvy. Your skills in business and technical design to support the wireless planning activities of this portfolio, which includes wireless enablement, wired/wireless infrastructure and wireless operations management will ensure your success.

Your expertise in IT Service Management and Project Management with your ability to provide strategic direction and support for Wireless Services functions at FH will be an asset. In this position, you will have a particular concentration on the Wi-Fi service delivery environment, and you will define, recommend, develop and implement process, tool, role and infrastructure and service management model improvements that will expand, mature and improve the overall Wi-Fi environment at Fraser Health.

Responsibilities Include:

    •Developing and leading the Wireless Services – Wi-Fi environment and functions of FHA’s Technology and Service Management group, including the definition and implementation of ITIL-based process improvements to IT services directly managed by this group •Leading the design, implementation and management of Wireless Services – Wi-Fi resources, process and tools, including providing supervision, guidance and leadership to assigned staff and non-staff resources (e.g. project resources) •Leading the development and maturation of FHA’s Wireless Services – Wi-Fi structure and environment •Understanding and ensuring alignment with Change and Configuration Management processes and tools used by FHA’s service providers •Working with internal and external stakeholders to maximize the functionality and utility of FHA’s Wi-Fi systems in support of various use cases •Supporting the development and maturation of overall Wi-Fi Service Management strategies and working closely with FHA’s Service Management SMEs to ensure appropriate service design, transition and operational support processes are in place and are effective •Ensuring that internal and external stakeholders are aware of and able to comply with the requirements for successful transition of new and amended services into FHA’s Wi-Fi environment •Providing support to Senior Leadership, often in the form of detailed opportunities analyses and recommendations, participation in issues management discussions, and representation on functional working groups and committees •Defining, recommending, documenting and managing projects •Preparing, managing and evaluating the procurement of external services by participating and/or managing the RFI, RFQ and/or RFP process

To join our team, we will look for you to have:

    •Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related study. •Seven (7) years of related experience in a large complex organization including at least three (3) years’ experience as a Project Manager. •Experience with health and corporate information systems. •Additional training/skills such as an understanding of the foundations of ITIL, project management and/or leadership development is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will e considered.
