The Role

Our client builds and repairs multi-million-dollar yachts, vessels, and sailboats. The head office is in a 45,000 sq. ft. in Richmond, BC. Here a STRIVE Recruitment, we are seeking reliable individuals, skilled in cabinet making and woodworking (finished products). Due to a large project, we are hiring for at least 3 Plumbers to work on the morning shift and/or afternoon shift.

Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:15 pm.

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday 1:00 pm – 11:15 pm (10-hour days, 4 days a week). The afternoon shift offers a $3.00 per hour premium above standard trade wages from the Morning shift.

You will initially be hired as a contractor (approx. 4 months), however, you can be a long-term employee! The project will be at least for 2 years. Our client is growing and experiencing high growth. There are over 90 employees at this location.

You will be reporting to the Plumbing lead and there are about 3 employees within this department.

Responsibilities

•Install HVAC systems, plumbing for bathrooms in Yachats

•Troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC and plastic plumbing systems in various vessels

•can apply the knowledge of plumbing systems to a variety of vessels

•Troubleshoot, repair, and install drainage systems

•Comprehension of plumbing system fundamentals and design

•Demonstrate safe work practices at all times

•Must be able to work in tight spaces

•Must be trustworthy, honest, and punctual

•Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to new procedures

•Positive attitude, flexible, and a team player

Qualifications

•2+ years of plumbing experience within marine or commercial buildings and/or 2nd-year apprentices

•Marine plumbing experience is considered a strong asset

•Ability to read drawings

•Journeyman/Red Seal Plumbing certification an asset

•Apprentices welcome
