Our Richmond office is in need of a Regional Operations Manager; so get ready to kick-start your career and join our growing Building Science and Sustainability (BSS) Division.Our TeamPinchin is seeking an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented professional to lead the Building Science team in BC. In this position, you will mentor junior staff and be a senior technical advisor on complex projects. You will develop new business, grow a specialized team of technical professionals, and help our operations remain competitive by leading our responses to changes in industry, emerging issues and client expectations. You are always considering the big picture and have a way of breaking it down into actionable sized pieces. As the leader of this rapidly growing service line, you will collaborate with our Practice Leadership group to influence Pinchin-s Building Science department across the country.The As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:Financial and Administrative Demonstrating good business knowledge and awareness of financial implications of project decisionsEnsuring that division budgets are prepared on time and that profit and utilization targets are metTracking monthly division performance (client satisfaction; revenue/profit; accounts receivable; work in progress; billings; etc.)Overseeing the preparation of contract documents to Pinchin standardsLeadership and Staff SupervisionEnsuring the well-being and safety of Pinchin employees at work sitesSupervising employees and monitoring their job proficiency and qualityMentoring and supervising senior, intermediate and junior level staffReviewing technical reportsCoordinating group resources, including employee allocation, equipment control and maintenance, weekend resources, vacation scheduling, etc.Providing technical assistance to employeesLiaise between Clients and Pinchin employeesEnsuring employees are trained in, and maintain, company procedures and programsWorking with employees to develop and set annual goals for professional growthCoordination of Project ActivitiesDeveloping and maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors and regulatory body representativesDeveloping schedules and assigning work to employees as appropriateCoordinating work and client contacts with other groups within the CompanyMaintaining relationships with various contractors and other vendorsBusiness DevelopmentEngaging in business development; build and maintain client relationships and monitor industry trendsAttending trade shows, professional associations/events and provide presentations and/or seminars as required to promote Pinchin-s profileMaintaining Quality ControlReviewing the work of employees and colleagues to ensure it meets the established standardsMaking suggestions to continually improve work quality, for both self and teamWhat You Bring to the Pinchin TeamDegree from an accredited University within a related field in Civil Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, Diploma in Architectural / Engineering Technology or a construction-related disciplineProfessional designation: Building Science Specialist, LEED Credentials, Certified Reserve Planner, Certified Roofing Inspector, PMP, P.EngExperience with building envelope rehabilitation, design, specification, and contract administration and/or consulting and project management in a relevant fieldThorough knowledge of building science conceptsStrong communication skills, professional presentation, and technical expertiseStrong writing skills and a high level of attention to detailFamiliarity with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial managementExperience with business development initiatives and client interactionProven group management experienceWhat-s in it for you?
