Over 80 physicians and specialists, alongside a broad roster of complementary health care disciplines, provide health and lifestyle management services on site and by video consult for individuals, families and organizations. Our therapy and rehabilitation team of 12 clinicians across 5 disciplines see clients physically and virtually from our downtown Toronto location.

The Role:

The Medcan Clinic is recruiting for a licensed physiotherapist to join our high-performing and fast-growing team of practitioners within Medcan’s Sports Medicine, Therapy and Rehabilitation service. We are looking for an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude and a current understanding of evidence-based musculoskeletal conservative care.

The Accountabilities:

This role requires a seamless integration of physiotherapy services into the existing collaborative practice environment that includes physicians, orthopedic surgeons, a physiatrist, massage therapists, chiropodists, chiropractors, and other physiotherapists.

Our team places great emphasis on inter-professional collaboration via effective communication and treatment.

The candidate must demonstrate exceptional clinical care practices, superior professionalism, and a firm desire to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary entrepreneurial environment.

The Requirements:

  • Physiotherapy degree
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Significant experience in dealing with varied orthopaedic and sports injuries is an asset
  • Minimum three years’ experience
  • Additional physiotherapy related qualifications are an asset
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • This is an Independent Contractor position seeking two to three-day commitment across Monday to Saturday. Starting half-days and building to full days as volume grows. Expansion of hours is available and encouraged as your practice grows. The specific schedule/hours will be determined and has some flexibility. Compensation is competitive. The role reports to the Clinical and Product Director of the Sports Medicine, Therapy and Rehabilitation department.
