We are looking for Field Coordinators that want to have a long career with rewarding and challenging work both in Edmonton and remote sites.As a Field Engineer/Coordinator for Edmonton Buildings District, you will contribute to our team by:Conducting basic safety inspections and training, identifies hazards and corrections and lead by example for health and safety practices and procedures. Attends daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.Assisting with third party inspections and site reviews.Tracking timesheets and orders materials and equipment.Preparing quantity takeoffs as directed for production analysis, material orders etc.Assisting with trade contractor management, including requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings.Assisting with schedules (three-week lookaheads).Interacting with and coordinating trade contractor work (as per project schedule) and may provide day to day directionAssisting with tracking cost and quantity.Assisting with updated drawings and specifications.Developing and maintaining strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.Other duties as required. What you will bring to the role:Postsecondary degree or diploma in related field: construction management, engineering, architecture.Basic knowledge of or ability to learn construction specifications and methods and procedures (e.G. basic surveying techniques.)2-3 years dynamic experience as field engineer/coordinator.Ability to learn, understand and/or apply basic construction principles to problem solve.Clear verbal and written communications with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and subcontractors.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, potentially reporting to different people.Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction related software.PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
