Position Description:

An Outside Sales Representative leverages consultative sales techniques and matches our value-proposition to customers’ needs. An OSR creates and executes sales and marketing plans by working with support teams to achieve revenue generation. Proactively develops customer and supplier relationships in order to penetrate diverse markets and drive revenue generation.

  • Understand market dynamics
  • Strategize territory coverage and call upon key accounts (current and prospective) regularly
  • Cultivate customer and supplier relationships
  • Thoroughly understand our value-proposition and match it to customer needs
  • Coordinate sales efforts with the inside sales force to proactively increase market share
  • Develop technical knowledge to be resource for customer base
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational, follow-up and listening skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Documented success in exceeding sales goals & objectives
  • Proven track record of successful customer acquisition and business development
  • Understanding of and demonstrated ability to apply value pricing principles to optimize profitability
  • Ability to work in a team-selling environment
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, etc.) or substantial equivalent business experience
  • Plastics/industrial distribution experience
  • Territory management experience
