Flexibility is required.The Operations Manager is a key part of the leadership team and oversees all the warehouse operations (Inbound, Outbound, and ICQA) and is the point of contact with other departments in the organization. This individual is instrumental to ensure the success of the 24/7 operation and helps promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance.Lead and supervise a team of Warehouse Managers (4-6 front-line leaders) and 200+ hourly team members in the warehouse operationsIdentify safety and maintenance concerns and finds resolutionsComply with safety polices, accident prevention procedures, and compliance programs and maintains a clean and sanitary work environmentStrategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needsIdentify future leaders, mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learningKeep the pace with the explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environmentDrive process improvement to optimize productivity and efficiency by collaborating on policy deployment in the areas of Lean Six Sigma techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer-satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and site performance measuresImplement programs to optimize workflow, accuracy, and productivityLead managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategyDevelop and controll the Operations budget by monitoring actual performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is takenRegularly confer with leadership team to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditionsTrack performance metrics and conduct performance evaluationsDetermine staff sizes and shift times to ensure efficiency in daily operationsStrategize weekly, monthly and yearly objectives and ensures they are executed according to scheduleWork collaboratively with other departments towards operational excellenceOther related duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsA completed Bachelors Degree from an accredited UniversityAuthorized to work in Canada without sponsorshipDirect management experience for salaried employees and their performanceCandidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts regularlyPrevious experience in an Operations or Production Management positionKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety LegislationStrong analytical ability and strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, working on your feet, and in cooler/freezer rooms as requiredPreferred QualificationsUniversity Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred5+ years of management experience within warehouse management, logistics and supply chainDemonstrated ability to lead people and get resultsAbility to organize and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skillsCommitment to company valuesStrong process improvement mindset and a background in 5S or other continuous improvement methodologiesAn annual salary, paid bi-weeklyJoin now and receive an initial $250.00 of SPUD credit, and another $250.00 of SPUD credit after six months of employment ($500.00 total)Must have a valid SPUD.ca account and be employed at the time of the credit administration (processed monthly)20% discount on SPUD.ca purchasesExtended Health Care Benefits (after 90 days) including: massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopath, physiotherapy, psychologist, chiropractor, 80% dental and prescriptions covered, life insurance, travel insurance, discounted eye exam- and more
