More information can be found atwww.lafarge.ca/en/careers.Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Operations Coordinator is expected to provide general and specialized administrative support for Asphalt day to day operations. As well as providing analysis to assist managers in effectively executing their jobs/objectives in a professional, timely, and informed manner.Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment areasCommunicates with customers regarding quote and product information requests. Escalates any special requests to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Assists with quoting and contract initialization through Salesforce / SAP (Setup, Edit, Track)Liaises with field staff to ensure quote, order and ticketing accuracyManages the time entry for all hourly employees including the correct payroll submissions of all new or departing employeesReconciles Asphalt ticketing and inventories within the appropriate timelinesPrepares and processes all the Work Orders and Purchase Orders for the product lineAdministers the Purchase Orders and Receiving processes for all purchasing activities Reviews all Procurement to Pay (P2P) activities for accuracy and corrects any processing errors. Identifies any errors that may have a significant impact on monthly reporting. Works with finance department to ensure accuracy of month endAssists Operations Manager to ensure that all raw material inventories are accurately recorded at all GEA Asphalt locations. Reconciles inventory at month end and flags any variances to the Manager. Records, investigates and reports any anomalies in processing data to Operations/Plant ManagerPromotes an organized and efficient production environment that drives a safe work culture in the Greater Edmonton Area.Provides support, ad hoc reports, and completes various tasks as requested by management. Other duties as assigned by Operations ManagerRelationship with Other Jobs:Reports to the Operations Manager.Works directly with key stakeholders (eg. Managers, Plant Foremen, Customers.)Works closely with other functional teams (eg. Quality, Procurement, Finance.)Education & Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting or office administration, preferably in the construction industry. Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Business, Accounting, Office Administration or Civil Engineering Technology would be an assetTechnical/Functional Skills: Strong computer skills including SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)Strong oral and written communication skillsMust have the ability to plan and organize people and processes.Ability to understand customer needs & demonstrate excellent Customer CareStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced customer driven environmentSafety-conscienceMotivated self-starter, with ability to adapt to changing responsibilities Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.Through LafargeHolcim’s 2030 Plan, Lafarge is committed to providing solutions using sustainable manufacturing practices and improving the environment in and around its operations.
