This is an exciting time and a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Shift Supervisor. : SHIFT SUPERVISOR-s primary purpose is to support management in monitoring the day-to-day activities of employees in aiding in monitoring productivity, responsibility for work and ensure that business runs smoothly, and we deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive and safe work environment for employees. Essential Functions:Monitor, Plan and observe the day-today activities of employees, co-ordinates breaks, and keeps management informed of area activities and significant issuesCreates an provides a safe and positive work environment free of harassment and violenceModels company brand standards and adheres to all policies and SOP-s in a professional mannerCompletes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklist in accordance with company policiesOperators cash registers and voids transaction as neededFollows all company cash handling policies and maintains proper security of cash at all timesTransfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areasResolves customer complaints in a manner consistent with policy and with customer satisfaction in mindPractices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with all H& S standardsPrepares employee schedules, ensures coverage and delivers brand training for cross trainingCoaches, mentors and disciplines employees as requiredImplements product rotation based on product code dates, orders product and participates in inventory count on a monthly basisPlaces and receives product along with performing monthly inventoryDeliver training in different brands for new employeesMonitors compliance with safety guidelines, builds awareness about safety and reports and ensure any WSIB claims are reported timely on Windley Ely portalAssists in Brand trainingRespond to guest injuries and property damage, complete reports and record timely to HUB/IFM Minimum, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:Requires a High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 6 months supervisory/lead experienceFood & Beverage, cash handlingand customer service experienceRequires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, policy documents as well as converse comfortable with customersDemonstrate ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing mannerFirst Aid and Food Safety Certificate would be an asset ONroute is committed to providing accessible hiring and employment practices that comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (the ” AODA”) and the Human Rights Code of Ontario.
