Our fast-growing Private Equity Developer client is looking to add an on-site Sr. Project Manager leader in Downtown Ottawa to spearhead their influx of Multi-Rise residential projects as well as lead their team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, implementation & client management. Your Future Day to Day Career Opportunity Awaits: You will be the face of our projects and our brand as you educate and chair client progress meetings. Oversee all aspects of the construction projects from planning to implementation Allocate resources for assigned projects Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications Prepare RFP’s and submittals as per client request Value engineering to provide as much value to our clients as possible Working directly with the President, you will be the front face of our projects and our brand for our clients. You will also be a valuable mentor to a team of 6 Assistant Project Managers. Requirements What We’d Like to See: 5+ years of previous experience in construction management with a general contractor, construction management firm or builder. You’re familiar with managing projects scope of at least $20M in Construction costs. You work speaks for itself and you have raving reviews from previous clients. You thrive on taking on new challenges and jump at the opportunity to learn new areas of the business. You bring superior communication and negotiation skills. You are ready to take on leading a team or you have past colleagues calling you for advice and your expertise. You have a keen attention to contract details and schedules that you can easily spot errors You love taking ownership of your projects and feeling the sense of accomplishment once you’ve completed it. Your tracking and reporting skills are updated and organized in an effective manner to be able to successfully track multiple projects. You have superior knowledge of the Ontario building code, especially part 3 & 9. You are intimately familiar with Tenant improvements, additions, structural and new construction.
