The Oil & Gas Logistics Coordinator will use logistics experience and expertise to plan loads effectively and most efficiently as possible for various Oil & Gas business units (Production, Drilling, Completions, Oil Sands, etc.). The incumbent will provide effective planning and coordination of freight for third party logistics, including maximizing service and cost performance of outbound and inbound freight and onsite services for all customer orders in the oil and gas industry.The position requires an individual who thinks analytically and has the ability to plan ahead or decide on the spot in demanding and rapidly changing situations while maintaining professionalism. It also requires working on own authority, but will rely on manager when necessary for final authority or questions. SHIFT: This position is 7 days on, 7 days off and will work the night shift. – Three (3) years or more experience in similar transportation related position- Flexibility to work varying hours/shifts based on account needs- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills- Understanding of Oil & Gas Production Hauling and reporting (intermediate level)- Strong computer skills, including data input/typing, MS Office and e-mail (advanced level)Plans/Builds/Executes daily schedules for loads for Production, Drilling, Completions, Oil Sands, etc… to various locations for delivery or for services to be performedResponsible for freight audit and approval of production carrier invoicesStays engaged and works closely with the carriers to ensure delays at disposal sites are monitored and actioned as necessary by diverting to alternate sitesCommunicates and coordinates information to the carriers and production customer representativesIdentifies and executes best and most cost-effective methodsHealth Safety Environmental (HSE) Compliance, audit and engagement with the production carriers and customer as requiredReports all incidents, accidents, environmental issues to the Location Manager, local HSE advisor, and customerUses judgment and decision-making to ensure service levels are metKeeps management well-informed of activities or potential issues and provides support to operations team members as neededMust consistently demonstrate appropriate interaction with management team and customer, as well as with the driversCoordinates with customer’s backhaul team to match all loads with the coordinated backhauls to reduce overall transportation costPerforms other duties as assignedHow to Apply:Email your resume directly to email@example.comWe are an equal opportunity employer.
