You will be responsible for performing safety inspections, hazard assessments and developing safety procedures and programs. About you. You are positive, organized, outgoing and aspire to grow as a safety professional. You have excellent communication skills, telephone manner, computer skills and occupational health and safety experience.

The Job. This is a full time Monday to Friday day shift position.

On a daily basis your duties would involve:

  • Conduct confined space, fall protection and other hazard assessments
  • Develop safe work procedures
  • Consult and advise clients on safety systems
  • Advance and maintain client safety management systems
  • Develop safety programs
  • Conduct workplace inspections
  • Collaborate with the safety consulting team
  • Prepare reports and proposals
  • Meet with clients
  • Be a great team mate.

Job Requirements

  • Combination of field experience and safety training is required
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar is desired
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification would be an asset, but will consider applicants without
  • Hazard recognition and assessment experience
  • Safety procedure and program development experience
  • Strong person-to-person and phone-related communications skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer and word processing skills
  • Strong listening/comprehension skills
  • Must be able to conduct field work
  • High School Diploma
