Under the direction of the Converting Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this position is an entry level position and is responsible for operating bag machines and associated equipment in order to safely produce high-quality bags in accordance with the production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc.Essential Functions & Key:Understand and follow all work instructions, safety procedures/policiesMinor machine adjustments, operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert film into bagsRead and verify line orders/docketsUnderstand printed job requirements by the specificationsLoad film and adjust for sizeAdjust tension on rollsFollow all SOP-s for departmentPerform quality checks of material being produced and complete related documentationComplete daily production paperworkMaintain a clean and safe work areaCandidate :Mechanically inclinedRELIABLE ATTENDANCEHigh School diploma or equivalentEligible to work in CanadaAbility to work steady 12 hour continental NIGHT shift (shifts do not rotate)Work overtime as requiredSatisfactorily complete training courses as determined by managementAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with our without accommodationAble to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedFor more information on Novolex, visit our website at: www.Novolex.ComThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
