ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Northern Regional Representative to be based out of our Prince George, B.C. location. Reporting to the Director, Business Development, the Northern Regional Representative strives to achieve corporate revenue growth and profitability goals through business development, procurement and sales results. This is accomplished by: maintaining service levels to retain and grow current accounts/vendors; and prospecting for new accounts within a competitive marketplace to expand our account base. This position may also have the potential for some managerial responsibilities over our Prince George location.


  • Proactively identifies and pursues new business prospects for ABC and develop existing relationships to achieve growth in volume and market share.
  • Follows up on sales referrals received from all sources.
  • Supports Prince George and Fort St. John General Managers in the development, communication and implementation of the ABC strategic commercial buying and marketing plans.
  • Collaborates with Yard Operations to ensure client service needs are communicated and service levels are consistent with ABC service standards.
  • Maintains the customer relationship database and ensure regular contact.
  • Implements account management strategies for current and potential customers to ensure loyalty and sales growth.
  • Supports the strong customer service culture within the commercial procurement team to model and foster the ABC customer service culture throughout the organization.
  • Attends and presents at meetings and functions/events necessary to build and retain customers.


  • 5+ years of successful achievement in sales/account management roles in the waste recycling industry or comparable service-oriented heavy industry, ideally in the BC, Alberta and/or Pacific Northwest.
  • Previous experience in all aspects of operations/distribution management of a satellite business location, including people management is an asset.
  • Experience within the mining and forestry industries is a definite asset.
  • Experience establishing successful business partnerships with indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, marketing or sales, or equivalent experience.
