Brampton, OntarioJob TypeTemporaryJob ID16416Salary$20.00Job Description**This is a night shift position- 3 pm to 1 am Mon to Thurs.**POSITION SUMMARY:The Spray Painter is responsible for painting components and preparing work-pieces for the painting process.QUALIFICATIONS:• 3 to 5 years’ experience working in industrial spray painting an asset• Familiar with metal fabrication environment• Knowledge of compressed air spray process, respiration and the safe handling of combustible and flammable liquids and paints• Good organizational• Good communication skills• Successfully complete a pre-placement medical and functional abilities examination based on performing the essential duties of the positionTRAINING NEEDS:• Orientation, WHMIS, Forklift, Propane and Lockout Procedure, ISO 9001 Awareness and Departmental Policy and Procedure Requirements, On-the-job developmentRequirementsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Paint work pieces by hand and/or using industrial spray gunPrepare various work pieces to be painted (taping, grinding and deburring)Mix paint while ensuring proper identification and colour codes meet customer requirementsMaintain stock of paint, supplies and other related equipment requiredPerform required cleaning and scheduled maintenance tasks of paint booth and maintain updated maintenance recordsPerform assigned tasks in a safe mannerConsult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe mannerFollow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areasKnow what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properlyEnsure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality productsReport all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous ImprovementsFollow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customersPerform other reasonable duties as assignedIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for to be successful in this role please submit your resume to [email protected] or fax to 905-231-3860We are an equal opportunity employerwww.winterstaffing.com
