The BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office (PBCO) is a program of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). Collaborating closely with provincial stakeholders, the PBCO facilitates the advancement of transfusion medicine practices through unique initiatives and programs that support the effective and appropriate use of blood and blood products across the province.

The PBCO coordinates and supports the BC IVIg Neuromuscular Neurology Program. This program provides support for the appropriate use of Ig (IVIg and SCIg) through the provision of clinical guidance and consultation to support physicians across the province in clinical management of adult patients with conditions where Immune Globulin (Ig) therapy is being considered.
The BC IVIg Neuromuscular Neurology Program is looking for a Neuromuscular Specialist to join the BC IVIg Neuromuscular Neurology screening panel. You will join a three-member panel comprised of physicians with expertise in Neuromuscular conditions.
Utilizing your Clinical and Neuromuscular expertise and strong interpersonal and communication skills you will:
The time commitment associated with this role includes bimonthly panel meetings (approx. 2 hours), screening (call) coverage 4 months per year plus optional project work activities in order to fulfill the program objectives.
The successful candidate must be licensed with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia as well as Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Neurology. Formal Neuromuscular training and/or experience are required.
