Carnival’s soloists perform a wide variety of musical styles, with an emphasis on poplar music from the 1950s to present. They should develop a good rapport with guests and take song requests. Requirements include proficiency as an instrumentalist and vocalist with a large repertoire of music from which to draw (most should be from memory) and the ability to cater to a diverse range of guests with varied musical tastes.
Prospective one-man band entertainers should submit a recording, either in audio or video form, as well as a current photograph and resume. The demo should be long enough to show both the piano player’s ability and the range of styles that they can cover.
