Mortgage Business Development Manager – Vancouver (North Grandview-Woodlands)

Business Development Manager (Mortgages) Position Summary: Exciting opportunity to join a growth organization that is transforming to become the firm of choice through and along with our intermediaries to deliver new products, services and channels. As an active member of the Business Development team, the incumbent will source and develop new and existing partnerships with mortgage brokers to sell the firms mortgage products and digital solutions. This includes supporting and executing on various sales activities, sales campaigns and Business Development and/or Marketing driven initiatives to build sales momentum and contribute to the maximization of gross sales. To be successful in the role, the incumbent must be a self-starter with a proven track record of superior sales, a strong mortgage background, experience in business development and strong presentation skills. Responsibilities: Build and maintain positive business relationships with Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Agents through the sale of mortgage products, broker/agent satisfaction, and growth and retention of relationships. Apply the firms sales methodology to solicit and develop new business opportunities, and effectively build and manage a sales pipeline. Proactively promote the firms digital and legacy products and programs to existing and prospective mortgage brokers to surpass sales objectives Provide expert guidance to educate and assist brokers with selecting the firms products and services that will meet their business needs. Meet and exceed sales and activity objectives along with prospecting goals. Develop and rigorously follow a quarterly sales plan to achieve objectives. Prepare, coordinate and deliver effective and targeted presentations, webinars, conference calls, etc. for client meetings, groups and conference. Work as part of a team in support of sales and marketing activities including, trade shows, conferences, marketing campaigns/promotions and client presentations Deploys optimal strategies in partnership with their inside sales colleague to develop and close business opportunity and grow their region Develop and leverage industry business relationships within organizations and associations Provide feedback to contribute to the development of new products and services and ongoing initiatives Liaise with various internal departments for problem resolution, including escalations, and enhance overall customer experience Remain current on the various legislation, procedures, standards and policies related to the products and services offered by the firm Report daily activities on the firms CRM system Related administrative duties as required Execute general tasks at the request of his/her superiors or that may be required by his/her function Qualifications: University Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of business development experience in the mortgage industry. Or College Diploma in a related field and 7 to 10 years of business development experience in the mortgage industry. Knowledge of mortgage products, CMHC and Genworth policies and mortgage underwriting guidelines. Along with in-depth business development experience, an established network of mortgage brokers and agents within the GTA and Central Ontario Polished presentation skills. Customer-focused, adept at building client relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Energetic and outgoing. Self-starter who can work with remote supervision. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are assets.
