Itis part of our Aboriginal Internship Program and is intended to introduce a voluntarily self-identified student or new grad of Aboriginal ancestry to this position at Nutrien.What you will do: Coordinate with various departments to conduct tests, ensure accurate readings and take samplesAssist the Mine Engineering Department with various projects including rock mechanics, data collection and quality control, ventilation readings, analysis and instrumentation installs, mine production data analysis, geology and rock bolt mappingGather data for rock mechanics and ventilationResponsible for some analysis and reportingDraft and issue production plansEnsure proper instrumentation and equipment functionWhat you will bring: Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year or a recent graduate of a mining or geological engineering program through an accredited university Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results/goal orientation.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and ExcelAble to work collaboratively across multiple functionsEnergetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team player who can positively and productively execute on assigned projectsAre you a good match?
