Wood, a global consulting firm, is currently recruiting for a senior water resources professional to lead our Water Resources group in Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary group supports projects across the Prairies and Northern regions of Canada as well as select international opportunities.You will be provided the opportunity to lead a group of water resources engineers and designers in the delivery of complex civil and water resources projects. This role will appeal to the individual that is seeking to further their career development and take on a leadership role. Reporting directly to the Vice President – Prairies Infrastructure, you will be part of the leadership team for the Prairies Infrastructure business unit and have the ability to influence the strategic pursuits of the group with particular emphasis in the Prairies region.You will be involved in developing, maintaining and leveraging our expertise for new and existing client relationships and creating innovative approaches to delivering services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to develop and grow the Calgary Water Resources team to ensure successful delivery of the group”s strategic growth plan.Your responsibilities will include operational management of the Calgary Water Resources group, including workload planning, resource allocation and cash management. As the senior leader of the team, a core compenent of your role will the development and mentorship of technical professionals of all levels.In addition, there is an expectation that you will help create business opportunities and networks that will result in revenue generation for the business unit.
