The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director, Operational Services and can be based from any Dillon office across Canada. As part of the Dillon’s Operational Services leadership team, the Manager, Quality will drive and develop aligned quality management systems and grow and nurture a culture of quality at all levels of the organization. The role is responsible for achieving continuous improvement in the quality of our professional services solutions to meet our client’s needs and expectations, including assessing and securing new project opportunities; the planning, execution and financial management of projects; and project closure. The nature of the role is dynamic and the scope of responsibilities may change from time to time to support evolving business needs.What your day may look like: Quality Management(97%)Serve as a key member of the Operational Services team in leading Dillon’s quality management systemLead the development and execution of effective annual business plans and operating budgets to support achievement of quality management objectivesLead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Dillon’s quality management system, including the Dillon Quality Standard, the Dillon Business Administration Manual and related resources, all within a management system framework that achieves continuous improvement in quality performance and cultureEstablish and monitor key performance indicators, identifying key insights and recommended actions to positively influence quality performance, including regular reporting to the senior management team and the Board of DirectorsDevelop and implement effective programs, tools, initiatives and resources that support quality management skills development and achieve improved performanceEnsure continuous improvement in operational excellence in the consistent and effective delivery of our professional services solutions to meet our client’s needsCreate an inclusive and diverse working environmentConstant and demonstrable innovation within quality managementEngage the quality management team that supports quality initiativesLearning and development (3%)A commitment to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in related quality professional associations and committeesWhat you will need to succeedEducation Technical degree from an accredited post-secondary education institutionQuality management certifications are considered an assetMinimum five to 10 years of related quality management experience in a project-based, professional services organization, ideally with at least 5 years leading a quality management systemExperience in leading a quality system within an organizational-scale business management system is considered an assetExceptional business acumen and analytical experienceProven experience developing and leading quality management systems, including experience in quality auditing, reporting and application of quality tools Demonstrated commitment to the highest quality standards and the ability to positively influence a company-wide commitment to qualityExcellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsProven experience coaching and leading a quality management teamExcellent analytical and problem solving skills, with an ability to identify risks/issues, evaluate options and provide recommendationsAbility to drive results and effectively manage a variety of projects and initiativesAbility to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriateExcellent verbal and written communications skillsWhy choose Dillon?Dillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
