In short, because relationships matter.Position Description:BDO Canada LLP is in the process of recruiting a FP&A Manager with experience contributing to pre-sales and business development initiatives, leading and managing FP&A implementations and managing FP&A consultants.This individual will work to grow our FP&A solutions practice and with our team of FP&A & Business Analytics professionals to plan, manage and successfully implement FP&A solutions at various client sites throughout Ontario and nationally. We are in the unique position of being national and local at the same time – a distinction no other Canadian accounting firm can declare.BDO Solutions is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and leading provider of Microsoft integrated solutions in Canada.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Provide pre-sales support, including the full proof of concept processFull-cycle FP&A project leadership and project management from leading the planning and analysis of client business requirements and objectives, through to managing the successful delivery of the projectImplement and support the following FP&A solutions: Adaptive Insights, Prophix and BI360/SolverProvide client support and consultation regarding issues with configurations and implementationsPrepare weekly implementation status reports and conduct weekly status calls on FP&A projectsWork closely with team of FP&A and Business Analytics professionals as required Contribute to weekly delivery forecasts and in collaboration with FP&A practice leadBe a key contributor to take our FP&A practice to the next levelGrow and manage team of BDO FP&A consultantsPractical experience in any or all of the following would be desirable:FP&A and/or technology pre-sales FP&A project management experienceExperience implementing and supporting end users with Adaptive Insights, Prophix and/or BI360/Solver preferredFace-to-face consultation experienceExperience managing and growing a delivery teamComfortable working and interacting with senior level executives including CFOs, VPs and finance staffThe ideal candidate must demonstrate by their previous work experience that they are interested in growing the FP&A practice here at BDO, from sales through to managing projects and possibly to managing resources. Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:Hold or working towards an Accounting Designation (CPA) or university degree/college diploma in accounting or business with equivalent work experience. Experience in an FP&A or accounting role preferred.Experience managing FP&A projects preferred.Experience leading FP&A projects required.Experience managing direct reports preferred.Working knowledge of SQL scripting preferred. The candidate must be willing to achieve appropriate certifications on the FP&A solutions listed above, if not already held.The successful candidate should also be an experienced Microsoft Office applications user.Have excellent communication and interpretive skills. Communicating with clients and interpreting their needs will be a daily activity.Be a committed team player. The success on each project depends on the combined efforts of the implementation team.Be well organized and able to work well under pressure both from clients and from team members. Established deadlines must be met on all engagements.Be flexible and adaptable to change. We implement change for diverse clients on a daily basis.Be self-motivated.
