Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Cyber Security team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our team identifies and addresses cyber security challenges, tests the resiliency against cyber-attacks, assists with IT governance and strategy, reviews and advises on defensive controls and offers advice on information security and privacy for all types of clients.Performance ExpectationsAssist in scoping and developing Statements of Work based on client requirementsPerform network and application layer vulnerability assessments and penetration testsConduct wireless security assessmentsPresent assessment results to technical and non-technical audiences Monitor project timelines against targets and adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and issues within a timely mannerAttend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvementPresent assessment results to technical and non-technical audiences effectively in a written and in-person manner CredentialsPossess a Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, computer science or a related field Minimum five (5) years of experience in security and privacy servicesCertified Ethical Hacker, SANS GIAC Penetration Testing certification is beneficialOSCP or OSCE is an assetKnowledge / experience in performing ICS security or SCADA assessments is beneficialCompletion of CISSP, CISA, CISM and/or other related certifications is an assetUnderstanding of IT security and governance frameworks, such as ISO 27001/2 and COBITRelevant work experience in performing assessments of Mobile (Android / iOS) applications is beneficialPCI QSA training and/or certification is an assetSecurity Clearance considered an assetTravel will be required at timesCore Competencies and Personal CharacteristicsIntegrity – professional whose honesty, integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards contributes to effective leadership and optimal business relationshipsEnergy – displays enthusiasm, optimism, drive and passion while maintaining a high level of productivity and a balanced lifestyleDiversity – understands the importance of different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and is respectful of individual differencesCommunication – effectively expresses ideas and conveys information in business writing, conversations and interactions with othersClient Service Excellence – understands the importance of quality client service by being courteous, responding to client requests in a timely manner and monitoring satisfactionTeamwork & Relationship Development – works collaboratively with team members in order to achieve a common goal and develops, maintains and strengthens relationships with others, both inside and outside the FirmAccountability – takes responsibility for one’s own performance by setting clear goals and tracking progress against those goals; is highly organized and uses personal judgement and decision makingFlexibility – effectively manages multiple assignments, adapts to changing priorities and is able to work independently or as part of a teamWork Ethic – consistently performs to high quality standards, is dependable and has a constant drive to improveStrategic Planning – analyzes the Firm’s competitive position by considering market and industry trends, existing and potential clients, and strengths and weaknesses of competitorsResearch & Analysis – questions inconsistencies in information and generates workable solutions by analyzing, gathering and organizing relevant informationStress Management – functions effectively when under pressure and maintains self-control in difficult situationsInitiative – highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision More than a paycheque, MNP delivers.
