City: Mississauga Province / State: ON Category: Full time Req. #: 4562 Openings: 2 Description Reporting to the Director Superior Way, the MOS Specialist is responsible for designing/ implementing/ auditing/ coaching the various management operating systems used by Superior Propane in Delivery, Service, Customer Care and Fleet Services organizations. This role will be responsible for identifying and implementing changes that will deliver significant benefits to Superior Propane. Key Accountabilities: Proactively identify and quantify improvement opportunities. Develop action plans using six sigma tools including the five whys, root cause analysis, risk analysis, and brainstorming. Make the case for change and drive improvement Develop project plans and manage execution to ensure intended benefits and results are delivered Utilize strong project management skills and ensure disciplined execution through milestone identification, follow-up, and escalation. Monitor improvement projects from start to completion and provide support as needed Effectively work with, lead and influence cross functional groups to design and implement an effective MOS. Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive behaviours and efficiencies. Complete day in life studies and MOS compliance audits to assess the organization’s effective use of the MOS. Determine activity lists, scheduled expectancies using observations qualitative and quantitative analytics. Comfortable with statistics to determine seasonally adjusted averages, standard deviations, correlations between various data sets, determining sample size to assist in forecasting future requirements. Design roles, skills flexibility matrix, RACI and behavior models to drive clear organization roles and responsibilities. Support and coach peers and superiors on MOS components to influence behaviours and adoption of new process, procedures, ways of operating. Ability to work cross functionally to create new reports, daily schedule controls, daily/weekly operating report, management operating report, overtime control reports, lost time tracking/pareto reports as components of the MOS Understands the various types of waste (time, effort, resources) to a level to coach and train others. Can design and implement a labour and equipment sizing methodology and excel based tool. Ability to recognize and coach on the seven active management behaviours Serves as the change agent by communicating, planning and institutionalizing a culture of a management operating system. Supports operations teams to embed the Superior Way, our primary management operating system used at Superior Propane. Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or diploma in business related studies or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience leading and/or implementing a management operating system in any industry with preference given to Call Centres, Delivery intensive industries and management consulting Proven ability to quickly build relationships and achieve results in a fast paced and dynamic matrix-based environment Experienced coaching peers and teaching others how to use tools and methodologies Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present to and influence decision makers. Well organized, self-starter, proactive problem solver with excellent time management skills and ability to inspire others. Proficient with Statistical Methods, Root Cause, Control Charts, Experience in facilitation and coaching others Proficient in the use of Minitab, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, and PowerPoint. Creatively and constructively challenges the status quo Able to receive feedback and is coachable Lean Management, Six Sigma, or other applicable certificates are strong assets.
