Scope of the PositionTo provide maintenance support for the Fort Saskatchewan Sulfides facility, including, but not limited to, responsibility for planning, scheduling, and conducting overall plant maintenance. Ensure that planned and unplanned work is completed safely, efficiently, and with no environmental impact. What You Need To Be SuccessfulMust be a Trade Certified Millwright.4thclass power engineering certificate is an asset.3-5 years’ experience in industrial or chemical environment highly preferred.Computer literacy with ability to work with MS Office programs. Be able to obtain various safety certifications (H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, Fall Protection, Forklift, etc.)Able to excel in a team based, self-managed environment.Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesComply with all Chemtrade EHS policies (lockout/tagout, confined space, safe work permits, fall protection, PPE, etc.) Conduct corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) based on the site computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). In addition should always be looking at opportunities to improve the existing PM program.Coordinate or complete all work generated through the Work Order (WO) system.Understand the function of all process equipment, i.e. purpose of each piece of equipment and the hazards.Assist with planning, coordination and organization of scheduled plant turnarounds. Assist in the management of the spare parts inventory.Work within and management of the CMMS for all WO and PM completion.Contact vendors/manufacturers for parts replacement.Become competent in the various aspects related to the job regarding mechanical integrity and inspections.Ability to become competent in the cylinder filling operation to provide support as necessary.Position: hourly, unionReports to: Plant ManagerCHEMTRADE is a publically traded (TSX: CHE.UN) chemical manufacturing and handling company headquartered in Toronto, Canada with 65+ locations across North America and Brazil.
