Our client, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in their manufacturing facility and requires a Maintenance Manager who acts as a leader and resource in the plant maintenance function and directs a team of technicians, at their plant in Windsor region.
The Maintenance Manager will support plant facilities and equipment maintenance to produce quality products and meet customer expectations in an efficient, timely and profitable manner.
He/she will be responsible from the initial plan through the complete life cycle of the implementation and follow up tracking of the plan’s progress, conduct monthly, quarterly reviews and train team leaders to develop and implement their area
of responsibility, maintain overall coordination of all departmental developments, and verify target dates and goals are meeting expectations with tangible results in bottom line and encouragment of employee motivation to strive for excellence.
Develop and/or maintain an effective preventive maintenance program
in order to improve production efficiency including packaging, labeling and machinery
Review plant production equipment environment in order to recommend
Record and analyze plant equipment performance data using design and
performance specifications in order to ensure optimum machine
Conduct formal training for employees.
Maintain collaborative relationship with all other departments.
Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility.
Assist and support Mechanics with expertise in equipment.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and operational up to company standards.
Proactively improve process functioning (continuous improvement) and strive for enhanced levels of efficiency
Engineering degree preferred or relevant experience in the role
Food or beverage manufacturing is preferred
8+ years previous maintenance management experience in a related industry with a preference for canning/seaming expertise.
Strong experience with computerized maintenance management systems
Must have experience working in High Speed Manufacturing environment
Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.
Good computer skills
Experience coaching, training, and giving feedback to staff
