Perform preventative maintenance checks on the complete track and go-karts. This position is not suitable for students as it requires candidates to be available full time hours January through November.This position pays $15.00-17.00 per hour.Perform minor maintenance and repair as requiredClean and lubricate equipment Check for proper oil levels in gearboxes, hydraulic units, etc.Check air pressure on tiresCheck all piping and hoses for leakage and fasteners for tightnessAssist in the installation of equipment and keep all work areas clean and tidyPerform preventative maintenance schedules on go-karts and trackAssist full-time ride maintenance mechanics in their dutiesAdhere to all safety procedures and report any safety related problems found to any full-time mechanic/foremanAssist with other duties as required**NO SEASONAL EMPLOYEE SHALL WORK ON LIVE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT**Enrolled in or graduate of Mechanical Engineering Post-Secondary program or equivalent experienceAble to work with deadlines Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, on weekends, and holidaysReliable source of transportation outside of public transportationPrevious knowledge of or experience with hand toolsUnderstanding of basic mechanics theory with some previous experience with small enginesAbility to diagnose engine problems and to dismantle and reassemble engines as necessary to manufacturers specifications is an assetMust have a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) and provide a driver’s abstract if hiredAble to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
