Job Family Group:
The IT Operations Mainframe and Storage Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:
Oversee 2nd Level support duties for the mainframe IBM Z series Storage platforms (Z series CPU, Disk, Tape and SAN Fabric)
Execute implementation and deployment tasks and activities for all Mainframe disk(dasd), virtual tape and associated storage system utilities and products.
Manage vendor break-fix and deployment activities where necessary
Assume role of key interface for vendor interactions and recovery tasks (log and dump capture/upload as necessary)
Provide real time incident management representation for supported Storage infrastructure components and services
Participate in on-call support 1 week out of every month and available for occasional after-hours project deployment
Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in a related field (Computer Science)
Minimum 5 years experience supporting Mainframe zOS IBM Storage environments
Must have Knowledge of large scale multi-LPAR IBM Mainframe Storage platforms and infrastructure that include GDPS/PPRC and/or Global Mirror, Metro Mirror Configurations.
IBM/Brocade Fabric topologies, and multiple LPAR configurations is desirable, as is exposure to hybrid-cloud for Mainframe Storage.
Good working knowledge of proprietary IBM and ISV storage and CPU utilities including: DFSMS, HSM,TDMF,ZARA, and catalogue management utilities.
Possess good knowledge of mainframe virtual tape platforms, preferably with duplexed cluster configurations
